KINGS HILL
KINGS HILL
It was a challenge to turn this barren back garden into the National Award Winning garden it became. Customer’s wish list… wanting to hear water and would love to have a ‘secret garden’…
So beyond the natural stone patio the ‘bubble pathway’ entices you up to the ‘secret garden’ where the sound of a slate dripping wall creates a calming effect. Tear-drop Hornbeam trees create a contrast against the boundary and large bespoke natural stone pots add drama.
The customer’s ‘worst part of the garden’ became their ‘favourite bit’ and this is a perfect example of what can be achieved even in a very small space. This part of the garden loses its claustrophobic effect and gives the impression of a much larger space.
The secret garden looks down on the soft green Gazebo and beyond to the ‘show stopping’ Cornus Kousa tree enclosed in a stunning ‘cast iron tree grille’ used in the award winning Albert Dock Garden which featured on BBC’s Gardener’s World Programme.
This garden has appeared many times in the Marshalls Brochure and on the cover!
BRASTED
BRASTED
Mindful of its surroundings in the historic village of Brasted this old cottage had to sit well within the driveway we designed.
Cobbletech paving installed in an unusual ‘circled design’ lent itself perfectly to the cottage and Natural Stone walls with brick on edge detail was in keeping with the walls in the village echoing their style. The brick on edge detail on the walls was repeated for the soldier coarse edge around the perimeter of the driveway and it all came together perfectly.

This project is a fantastic example of how many different products and colours can work in perfect harmony together without being ‘busy’ and just create an amazing space!
The sound of water draws you into the garden the eye immediately goes to the spectacular water feature – the focal point of the whole garden!
Pyracantha lolly pop trees add excitement around the swimming pool and look great against the back-drop of the Natural Stone walling.
Everything came together in perfect synergy.
Customer was drawn to Perfect Paving because of our track record and was not disappointed!!

‘Marshalls Best Driveway Transformation for 2011’ looks just as good as the day it was done!
A real ‘show stopper’ and universally praised this Natural Stone driveway very cleverly contrasts with the angles of the Hauf House it sits against. Natural stone cobbles ripple out in circles to the Light Granite Cobbled Edge creating the sense of an even more spacious area.
The Grey Natural Stone wall is the icing on the cake with its chuncky piers and Flamed Black Granite Copings. Cast iron gates and railings finish with a WOW factor!!
This patio had to be classic, minimalist, striking, contemporary…..to sit perfectly against the Hauf House.
This was achieved with pairing the Natural Stone paving with a 22 meter Welsh Slate water feature which wraps around the swimming pool.
Featured in April, 2020 Grand Designs Magazine – this 9 year old project is a testament to Perfect Paving’s projects standing the test of time.
